Stellar Winery: Organic Wine Cellar

As the Brand and Marketing Co-ordinator at Stellar Winery, Emma’s role will include assisting the marketing team of Lee Griffin (director) and Shelagh de Rosenwerth in streamlining operations and activities and PR to share Stellar stories with the world.

After leaving the hospitality industry, where she managed a boutique hotel, Emma worked in the PR field, co-ordinating events and managing her clients' social media accounts and online reputations. Emma is looking forward to her future at Stellar, especially because the company values fit firmly with her own. “It’s also so exciting to work with a company with a great global footprint”, she says.

Emma is originally from the Eastern Cape, but spent most of her childhood in the wonderful small town of Knysna, where her parents still stay. She moved to Cape Town to complete a BA in Business Administration, and as her motivation mounted, she decided to finish her studies on her own instead. A vibrant self-starter, Emma has since gone on to pursue an Honours degree in Marketing and Management on a part-time basis.

Emma is inspired by the idea of a green, self-sustaining household, and she’s passionate about food and living the most fulfilling, healthy life she possibly can. She grew up in a family that shares the same love for the environment – at their home in Knysna, they had a small chicken run, an organic veggie patch, rainwater tanks and bee hives. She grew up hiking and biking in the majestic Knysna forests, and more recently, her interests have turned towards the culinary arts. Emma dreams of opening a small deli-cum-restaurant one day where she will sell all sorts of cured meats, cheeses and serve delicious food filled with love and warmth.
