We’ve joined forces with Greenpop to bring you Dig This!, a wine that gives back to people and the planet. The tree-volutionary wine launched in Sweden on Arbor Day, 1 September, with the organic Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s off to a great start.
4 Quick facts from our winemaker, Klaas Coetzee:
- Three different farms supply grapes for the Dig This! Cabernet Sauvignon wine
- The grapes are grown in alluvial and gravel soils
- The grapes were harvested in March 2014
- The wine was aged on staves and partially in French oak barrels for 12 months
Wine that gives back
When you buy a bottle of Dig This!, a portion of the price you pay goes to Stellar Foundation for community upliftment projects like the ongoing holiday feeding scheme, establishing sport and education hubs, a Primary Health Care programme for farm workers and their families, and more. The same amount also goes to Greenpop, whose mass tree-planting initiatives are greening sub-Saharan Africa bit by bit, to spread the “treevolution” even further and faster.
