A group from Coenecoop, our Dutch agent, recently came to visit South Africa for an action-packed few days exploring all things Stellar. We welcomed two Coenecoop sales people, Bram Kamphuis and Cees Heikoop, and three Dutch customers: Dirk van Zoolingen from Wittebol Wijn, Marcel Meulenbeld from Wijnenenzo and Niels Huijbregts from Daxivin.
Our guests toured the cellar and the entire production facility before being treated to a taste of the new season wines and some existing bottled wine. From the cellar, we headed to Muisbosskerm to enjoy a local feast on the beach.
The next day was a trip to Eikevlei Crèche, where our visitors got to see the fruits of one of our social projects. Read about our other Crèche Makeover Projects here.
For the next leg of our adventure, we took a trip to Wilhelm Steenkamp’s farm in Bet-el. We took a tour of his vineyards and even visited the vineyard where the Muscat d’Alexandrie grapes for our Heaven on Earth dessert wine are grown.
Our Dutch visitors were here to witness the launch of our Solar Light Project testing phase – an exciting new renewable energy initiative where we provided the farm workers at Bet-el and Koperdraad with solar light jars. Read all about it here.
It was really great having them over to see us in action, especially since they arrived during the harvest – an incredibly busy and exhilarating time for us.
