Our perennial star, Heaven on Earth natural sweet wine, won a gold medal at the Michelangelo International Wine Awards recently, with the Stellar Organics Reserve Sauvignon Blanc /Semillon 2013 roping in a silver medal.
Heaven on Earth, a natural sweet dessert wine made from Muscat grapes partially dried on straw and Rooibos (Red Bush tea) leaves and twigs, is a wine that has never left a competition without a medal and this one was no exception. Presented in an elegant 375 ml bottle, the wine is light in the mouth and has delicate flavours of roses and apricots held together by wisps of Rooibos, ending with pine nuts.
An asset to any dining occasion, Heaven can be served chilled as an aperitif, poured over vanilla ice-cream or as an accompaniment to a cheese platter.

Repeating last year’s achievement, the silver medal awarded to Stellar Organics Reserve Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon 2013 shows that the quality of our grapes and winemaking is consistent. The award is a welcome boost for the new Stellar Organics Reserve label which launched in earnest this vintage year. This crystal clear wine has a nice asparagus and floral nose with a pawpaw undertone and is a lovely accompaniment to mild chicken curries or a pasta dish like gnocchi with pesto cream sauce.
