Students Lukas Wiese and Andrew Barnard from The Hurst Campus, a celebrated culinary school in Cape Town, South Africa, have been named the winners of the 2016 One&Only Reaching For Young Stars Competition. Stellar Winery was partnered with The Hurst Campus this year.
Both the #ooyoungstars competition and awards lunch were hosted at The One&Only Cape Town, and each turned out to be memorable events featuring an abundance of delicious food, wine and creativity from the rising stars.
Also on the team was Amy Laubscher, an up and coming sommelier from The Hurst Campus, who worked with Lukas and Andrew to pair their winning dishes with our organic wines.
Not only did the young chefs win overall, they also walked away with the Best Dessert prize, which was created around our newly-minted Platter 5-star Heaven on Earth.
