The fifth annual Reaching For Young Stars competition recently took place at the One&Only, a beautiful 6-star hotel in Cape Town. Talented chef students from six top cookery schools competed for the trophy. Each school was paired up with one of six iconic South African wineries hand-picked for the competition. Stellar Winery is honoured to have been selected to work with The International Hotel School.
The award ceremony, held in the One&Only’s Ballroom, featured a number of distinguished personalities, including Irish food ambassador and guest of honour, Darina Allen, and celebrated chef, Reuben Riffel (chief judge).

We struck up such a good connection with The International Hotel School that we’re now hosting Wine Introduction/Appreciation afternoons with upcoming chefs and wine stewards.
